First blog post here.

My user name here is Quark Cognition. I am an INTP. You would do well to remember that. I don't expect you to understand it, or anything about me. That would be asking quite a lot, as I only vaguely understand myself.

I came into existence back in 1976 and no one even asked if I wanted it. So I am similar to every other human in the sense that I was forced into existence (none of us get a choice in that matter). I will admit it's an interesting paradox, since it is not possible for one to make decisions before one exists.

I will explain my user name. Quarks are fundamental particles that make hadrons. There are two types of hadrons - baryons and mesons. Baryons consist of 3 quarks and mesons consist of 2 quarks. The most well known baryons are protons and neutrons, which each consist of 3 quarks.

Since protons and neutrons consist of quarks and we consist of protons and neutrons, I decided we are just jumbles of quarks that can think. Hence, quark cognition.

Quarks are very small. It would take more than 10,000 of them to fill a proton. So a proton, just like an atom, is largely empty space.

My blog will be of interest to people that like science, Korean movies, science fiction, and anything challenging.
