ABOUT ME... ( a follow up to my previous post dated 8/15/06)
51. i don't easily fall in love. when i do, i fall very hard.
52. curly hair is sexier but i keep and maintain mine just straight.
53. i hate dogs (a bit me when i was in grade school) but secretly, i admire a lot of them for being so loyal and smart.
54. i love to decorate the house. it is one of the things i love doing.
55. too much love and attention suffocate me.
56. i like kris aquino for her being articulate and spontaneous. i also admire her humility and courage to accept her faults. her scandalous personal life? it's none of my business.
57. i have been righteous / straight most of my life. though i didn't have any single regret about it, i think it is what makes me unpopular.

99. i am a right handed person but i ALWAYS use:
my left shoulder in carrying a bag; left arm in carrying a baby, baskets, shopping bags, etc.; left ear when using the phone. my "right" does not function well when it comes to these things.
100. the biggest decision i have ever made? WHO TO MARRY!!!

4. fall in love deeply for the first time
5. have a great life
6. stay happy
who does not want a happy ending, anyway?

christmas in my heart...

it's now the first week of november and i still don't hear any christmas songs. some say i would start to hear them after halloween. but halloween's gone. where are the christmas songs? when am i going to hear them? maybe i'm used to hearing these in manila as early as september that i expect the same thing here. i know i'm not in manila anymore. but how much difference does it make?
some would say i am just over reacting but here's another thing. i am very excited to put up my christmas decors but i was told that people here start putting up theirs after thanksgiving day...and that means last week of november.
whew! i can't wait anymore. if they don't want to play christmas songs this "early", i can play my christmas CDs and listen to them till my ears ache. if they wait till thanksgiving day's over to put up their decors, i can start putting up mine now.
yes, i am in a foreign country... but i'm still a filipino.

i just had my balikbayan box shipped out. after a last minute shopping for more canned goods, i was able to fill the box. glad i didn't miss my shipping deadline. i want it to reach my family in bulacan before christmas. well, i am sure it'll gonna make it. there's enough time. i just hope the many holidays in manila won't cause any delay.
sending a box full of different stuff for different people is a lot of work. it is quite stressful but i enjoy it. it feels good to know that i make my family and friends happy in my own little way.
wanna know what i plan to do now? hmmm....i'll start to buy things/stuff for my new box soon!!!

i'm leaving again for a week vacation next week. this time, we're going to palm springs, california.
i love to travel but i had no idea that it is going to be this frequent. no, i am not complaining. i am just saying that i never thought i could do this easily. of course, it would have been impossible if not for my husband who is a seasoned pilot who really loves to fly as if his life depends on it.
one good thing about having an airplane is that we can just pack our things and fly. but though it is cool and handy, it also has disadvantage/s. it has no restroom though guys can easily relieve themselves with the aid of a wee wee bottle. for ladies like me, i have to alert the pilot early on so he can look for the nearest airport and land. another few disadvantage/s? the sound of the engine is so loud that i feel some pressures in my ears, i make our own sandwich and i can't meet new friends (from the rest of my co-passengers). there's also a few advantages though and two of these are enough to off set the long list of it's disadvantages. first, we don't have to be at the airport at least an hour before our flight (plus that damn feeling that we might miss our flight). second, we don't have to go through that routine airport security over and over again.
i am sure you'll agree with me that these two things i've just mentioned make life a lot easier.

it feels good to be home. there's really no place like home.
i just arrived from a week vacation in kansas. it was some sort of a paid vacation. my husband flew in a company plane to independence kansas (where cessna, the US biggest plane factory is located) and he thought of bringing his petite wife with him so she could see this part of the US. the weather was very nice on our way there.i've got to see places which i only used to hear about. our stay there was very pleasant and i met a lot of wonderful people. it was when we flew back home that the weather was so nasty. i had to wear 3 layers of warm clothes to keep my little body warm. thirteen thousand feet above the ground, i prayed the whole time and my two little hands held on tightly to the back rest of the pilot seat as our sky lane (4 seater airplane)was being blown by the strong wind.
it was no joke to be up in the sky for almost 10 hours one way. we only made a few stops when i had to use a restroom to relieve myself. anyway, i was very thankful that we made it safely. yes, i'm home...alive and kicking!!!
