SEEING OR NOT SEEING...

This is a true story from a friend...
You see, she met this guy from one of the dating site.Although,she did not meet this guy in person, she gave this guy her contact number so they can text or call each other. And they have been communicating for weeks.The guy is from the province in Visayas while the girl resides in Manila.During the first few days of their communication, the guy invites the girl to spend her weekend in his place.He will pay for her fare and would let her stay in his house because he said he really wants to see my friend but cant do that because it would be too expensive if he will be the one to come to Manila aside from the fact that he's busy.My friend feeling that its too soon for all of that decline the offer.And so they remain to be in contact with each other.
After more than 3 weeks of constant communication, the guy finally came to manila for a business trip.He stayed in a hotel.He texted my friend and invited her to come to his hotel at almost 10 pm.My friend says its too late and said that they can meet the following day.The following day, the guy texted if they can meet at 6 pm.It was my friend's bro's birthday and they will have a family dinner so she said that she cant meet him at 6 pm.She'd be available by 9 pm onwards and if thats okay with him,they can meet.And she asked if they can meet halfway because she'll be in Quezon City.But the guy insisted that they will meet in Makati because his hotel is there.Because of that statement, my friend clarified some things that she will just meet him because she promised she will and that she felt that she owe him that since he came all the way from the province.Although she's not the reason why the guy came to Manila, still she feel that it would be nice to meet a new friend.
Her family dinner finished at 8 pm.During the dinner,the guy is always texting her asking where she is and she was really irritated.She asked that they will be done by 8.If it would still be okay,then she will go.he said that its okay even if its late so after dinner, she rode a taxi going to Makati.
When she arrive in the hotel, she texted him that she's waiting in the lobby.The guy asked whats the color of her dress and she told him.After waiting for almost 20 mins, the guy told her that its already late he will retire early. My friend dont believe that so the guy told her that he saw her and didnt like her so he did not approach her.
My friend was really furious.Because the reason why she was there is that she gave her word to meet him when he will be in Manila and that she was already judged from afar physically not knowing the real person that she is.And also because she went to makati even if its already late just because she thought she's meeting a friend.I even asked her if she's expecting more and she said no..She insisted that she's just doing what she thought is right...
Oh well....

Personally, I agree with this..We filipinos are bunch of polite and hospital people.We dont want to offend anyone and would help even a stranger if they are in trouble.Well,except for a few exceptions but generally, I believe that we are this and more...

I just received the most weird email today.Someone told me that he likes me and likes to have girlfriend.But he likes his girlfriend to sleep with other guys.That he wont be here to see it but wants his girlfriend to tell him all about it and would really do it for real.That he wont go to other girl for that.Reply if I like that kind of thing.
Seriously???Who wants to be in that kind of relationship?Its creepy...Im not judgmental.I do respect people who wants other things or into other weird stuff...but seriously,i dont understand this thing..because i believe that if you love someone or wants to be in a relationship with someone,you want exclusivity..
Am I just being idealistic?What do you think guys?

My mom turned 50 yesterday..Months ago, I thought of having a small celebration for her because its her 50th birthday and its also their 33rd wedding anniversary.Unfortunately, we werent able to do that.My two younger brothers have work yesterday and my dad was in the province for a very important errand.So, it was just me,my mom and Sean.Although she told me not to give her anything and just told Sean to be a good boy as a gift for her, I still took her out.The three of us just had dinner and just talk about lots of things.It was just simple but I know that it means a lot to my mom for me to spend time with them despite our busy days.
My mom got married very early.She got pregnant when she was 16 and got married on her 17th birthday.She doesnt know anything about being a housewife and doesnt know any household chores being the youngest.I always told her that she's lucky that dad was 14 years her senior because other guys wouldnt last her nagging.Of course Im just joking.I know whatever their imperfections,they complements each other.
I didnt grow up with my mom.I was left under the care and love of my maternal grandma.It doesnt make me feel abandoned although growing up, I was not very close with my mom. Although I love her, I feel that I love my grandma more than her.And I dont understand the sacrifices..her choices in life before.And I've been telling myself that when I'll have a kid, I wont ever leave him/her because I dont want my kid to feel that he/she can't tell me anything.Just like what I felt before with my mom.
Now that I have a child,I get to understand my mom.I get to see that sometimes life doesnt give you much choices.Other choices are hard but you just have to make the best of what is there for you.That life is not always black and white..Sometimes its gray..
And Im just happy that whatever I felt before,I dont feel that way now.We are closer to each other now.And Im happy to know that whatever happens...whatever choices I'll make, there is one or two person who will always support me no matter what..who will love me unconditionally no matter what..
to you mom..Happy happy 50th Birthday..I wish you to live another 50 years however impossible it may be...I just hope that whatever mistakes I made or I will still make, you are proud of me.I am not who I am now if not for you..

Two weeks ago,I rode passenger FX from Quezon city to Caloocan.It was a 10 seater FX and I was riding in the middle part of it where 4 passengers can fit in (ideally). At that time,there were 2 of us there and one female passenger at the front (beside the driver) and two at the back.A Pinay came with an American guy.She was talking to the driver telling him that her husband would ride the FX but asking if its okay to ride at the front or in the middle but beside the window because she said her husband is so big and it would be hard for his husband if he'd be at the back. The driver and the "konduktor' seems irritated with the request but open the front door and asked the girl sitting there to transfer.The girl was of course mad because of that.She even told the wife of the American that she already paid the seat (she paid for two instead of 1 just to sit comfortably).And not because she has an "American husband" she has the right to demand where to sit.To avoid any argument, the girl sitting beside me transferred to the front hence the guy sits beside me.Yeah,he is a huge guy and he told me that he always ride FX there but everyday his wife will send him off because the drivers/konduktors will give him hard time telling him that there's no more space.I thought then that it was rude for the Pinoys to do that.He also complain about respect because the guys from the terminal talk rudely and made a sarcastic comment that the guys cant talk to him because "they dont understand/know english.I just smiled at his story cause I dont really know the whole issue.The driver is also talking about him in Tagalog and being a person ( not just a filipino) I find it improper and rude to talk about someone in other language just because that person dont understand that.Its just the same about talking behind someone else's back.Anyway,we need another 1 passenger to be able to go and when that passenger came,they made her sit at our side.Because the FX is not that big,and we have a big guy sitting with us,it really made me uncomfortable.I can't even breath so i asked the driver that I'd rather pay for two than to endure my travel uncomfortably.The driver then told me "Buti ka pa nakakaintindi pero iyong isang tao dyan,kaya hindi pinapasakay dito ay dahil di nakakaintindi.Dapat pang 2ng tao ang binabayaran nya pero napakainsensitive nya."(Im glad that you understand.Other people should be paying for two because he occupies a big space but wont do that so we dont let him ride here.)
Now, I understand why everytime they guy went there to ride,he have to asked his wife to bring him to the terminal.Because the drivers wont let him ride there.
The pinoys were saying that this guy is being insensitive.Maybe so...but on the other hand,they could have told the guy or the wife what they want.That instead of being rude by talking tagalog,they could have communicated properly.
Possibly,the guy dont know that thing.Had he known,maybe he would be willing to adjust....
In the end,communication is really important to convey your feelings...yeah its true that actions speak louder than words..However,its also nice to be outright frank just so you are clear..just to make sure you understand..
Just thinking..Is this a case of cultural differences???or simply a case of miscommunication???

My mantra for this year...CHOOSE YOUR BATTLE..Not all issues/intrigues are worth clarifying..Not all people are worth my time..Karma is a bitch so I'd rather sit down and relax and wait for it to take its course... Not bad I guess..Im such and opinionated person but it came to a point where I get tired of fixing things..clearing issues so I learn to shut up and not waste my time and energy on people who is not so worth it..I stopped caring about what other people thinks of me especially people who dont matter..Now Im more at peace with myself..Love feeling like this..Yay!

They say happiness is a choice..Well,for me in a way its true.But its not an easy choice especially when you are faced with many things.You can't force yourself not be sad and be happy instead right?
What are the things that make you happy then?For me,happiness is my son..my family,my friends.Happines is going home after an 8-10 hour work from the office,knowing that someone is waiting for me.Happines is spending the long weekend with my son,just talking to him,bringing him to the bookstore so he can choose his book,giving up your favorite pizza so you can buy his favorite spaghetti,playing computer game with him although you dont know anything about it and reading books with him though Im so damn sleepy and can barely open my eyes..Happiness for me is being happy with the simple things in life..
They say that happiness is subjective...The things that makes me happy could possibly not make you happy..Very true!!!But whatever makes us happy,lets just be happy and merry..Im happy but I can be happier...There's a lot of space in my heart and im open to all kinds of emotion..Yay!!

Wow my mind is full of so many things now..Its the 4th day of this impeachment trial and seriously,I dont follow whats going on there.I dont know either if this will lead to something better.
I have been watching news especially regarding with national issues but so far most of the issues dont have closure.From the ZTE deal to Ligot wealth,then there's the reproductive health bill to hospital arrest and now the impeachment.I dont know if I still have the energy to follow this specially I have lots of things in my life as well.Its frustrating because of the past events where things like this dont get an ending.If there's another issue or national event coming,all of the people will focus on the new thing and tends to forget the old one.
Well,I hope that this one could end better since its getting too much media already and wastes lot of time.Seriously guys there are other problems that needs to be solved.Hope we can all do that so we can truly say "ITS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES"...
