I'm Back! I miss my old handle and I have created a new one but like everyone else here, I'm "attached" to my two original names and blogging under a new handle simply doesn't feel the same. I am glad to be back.
I have been reading all blogs, though, since the deletion of name_withheld. I don't feel terribly upset about name_withheld's blog being deleted but there is something I am more upset about. When someone here was deletion-happy and everyone was on target to be the next deleted handle, I didn't want to just can't be able to log on and leave my blog roaming in blogspace/cyberspace. It feels like being robbed of something that you own and I don't want it to happen to me twice.
With a heavy heart, I deleted many of my old blogs -- even those that I was intending to keep as "souvenirs" of my friendship with the beautiful people here on FFF. It is not so much about losing the space for my poetry and other shorties but more about losing the comments, the exchange, the friendly banter -- that's what's PRICELESS! So now, I have lost them forever.
My only consolation is that my poems are kept in another blog space anyway so I can always go there when I want to read them again.
Just like the picture accompanying this blog, I AM BACK (says Gumby) (Dontcha miss Gumby too?)

deleting blogs....
Very frustrating here on FFF these days. This weekend, with a heavy heart, I started deleting my blogs in preparation to deleting this handle altogether. All 44 pages. I am taking a last look at each one of them, saving what is worth saving but there's just too many I want to save and I don't want to linger. Maybe today I will be done deleting everything. I don't want NLFL to suffer the same fate that Name_withheld suffered. N_w's blogs are floating in FFF cyberspace now. I don't want to lose control of Knee-jerk Reactions so I am deleting my blogs myself. We never know when the FFF god's hand will come down to push that button. It seems the robot hand is in a rampage now.
I feel cheated--believing FFF's purpose in promoting friendship. Now I feel robbed of my blogs which I was supposed to OWN because I wrote them and composed them in my thoughts. Some of my poetry is in FFF's sister site, SFF. I wonder--should I be also wary? Should I stop posting there too? Are the FF sites not to be trusted anymore?

do not hurry achieving things there is a time for everything
do not try to prove your worth especially when no one's asking
be careful showing your deemed intelligence what you thought was great to others, might be nonsense
quit the self-righteousness learn to show humility remember that stubbornness will only bring enmity
you cannot argue with age and experience your time to shine, it will come for now, practice subservience
it is not to show defeat just allow the minds to meet. but then again why not accept that in many other things, you are inept.

FRIENDLIEST

Forbes came out with a top ten list of FRIENDLIEST COUNTRIES. The comments about this survey are interesting and shall I say, potentially controversial as most of the comments do not subscribe to the results of the survey.
Any thoughts?

wow -- all ye people who love to read books, this one's for you:
On FB, Conrad de Quiros invited people to read his latest column article about the new technology that allows you to read and carry an entire library of 1500 books in one lightweight, 1/3 of an inch thick "monitor" without the glare of a computer monitor. I 'd rather not talk about its features here - best for you to check it out (make a G search) It's $259 (ouch, expensive, i know) but come to think of it, this idea just seemed to be not even thought of when we were children (maybe only in our futuristic, star trekky imaginations. It just strikes me as AWESOME!!!! (just look at the picture accompanying this post -- you gotta admit it's kewl!
Kindle's maker is Amazon. Barnes and Noble has come up with their counterpart offering, Nook (definitely better, according to Mr De Quiros, but he is a Kindle user)
Nook, being a progeny of the original idea, it's gotta be better. But for now, with this technology already functional in the Philippines, it would be nice to go KINDLING, ya?
'wanna go back to KINDLE-garten and move on and start reliving the fascination for books all over again.
