Ladies, What is the difference between an American husband and a Pinoy husband. Assuming every man has hormones, is lazy at heart, and loves by way his stomach. What do you see in American men that attracts you to them. I would pray and hope that there is much more to it than a visa to America.

I would love to here from Pinay who have an anticipation of marrying an American and have not been to the States yet. However, any Pinay who has come America as a wife should be able to share great insight and observations of "American Husbands." I would also like so very much to hear from you "most fortunate" wives of us slouches. Your insights might open a lot of eyes!

I have traveled overseas a bit. I even had a German Freulein for 3 years. My observations tell me that American men are known world wide as great husbands. This may or may not be true. It is all relative by comparison. There are differences culturally.

I have the impression that we (USA males) have a reputation for the following:
Being Romantics, enjoying and fatherhood, good providers, good lovers, we're hard workers, we're not drunkards, we like to be at home with our family, we like dogs.

Ladies - Feel free to dispute these notions or to offer additions. You might even feel the need to point out our inadequacies and disfunctions as a group. such as Football vs. Soccer, and the fact that we don't like to eat our vegetables.

Beautiful Pinay Ladies - Thank you for you enlightening observations. Dave

How Hard is to cook for a new American Husband

I love "oriental" food, my favorite is Mongolian BBQ. Of course, the use of the term "oriental" or chinese for food here in America is a ubiquitous or catch all term referring to any food that looks, tastes, smells, or moves like it might be from Asia.

Of course, this is not a reflection upon any food from Asia. On the contrary, its more of a r eflection of Americans and our true lack of sophistication regarding any real international cuisine.

To the point, I would imagine that Filipino food is probably fantastic!! I'm sure that It will be LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT for me. I'll venture as well that some of it will not go over so well in my pallet. I'll try anything once.

It must be a very difficult transition to learn to cook for an American Male! We can be like vaccuums at the table one day, and finicky 2 yr olds the next! As a man who loves to cook and hates to shop - I can only imagine the daunting task of learning how to shop in the USA for dining purposes. GUYS AND GALS: I would love to hear of your culinary adventures.

PLEASE COMMENT

I am an Evangelical Christian, raised in several protestant denominations. I have beliefs and convictions that I come by honestly. I was either handed many of those values or have arrived at them through my own spiritual journey. I would hope and expect that my mate would come to share and adopt them as well.

PLEASE !!!
This is not to be a discussion of one religion versus another, the merits of one religion over another, etc.

Even amongst protestant denominations there are differences that rub me wrong. So much of it is unnecessary judgment. It can amount to who's form of legalism is better than the other fellows form of legalism. It is all just plain silly at times.

However, the chasm between Catholicism and Protestantism, in teachings and practices; make protestant denominational ism look like splay.

On this sight, I consistently see in ladies profiles a religious affiliation of "Christian-Catholic" or "Catholic". In and of itself, not a problem. However, when these same ladies contact me knowing I am not a Catholic. I question what is going on in their minds and hearts. I SENSE NO CONFLICT OR 2ND THOUGHTS, on these Ladies parts.

I think there are times that Protestants and Catholics are speaking a foreign language to each other. Or, they are saying the same words to each other and do not understand that they are not saying the same things to each other.

My questions are as follows:
Do these Filipino woman have an understanding of the potentiality for spiritual conflict between themselves and a potential mate?
Do these Ladies have an expectation of religion and faith that allows them to accommodate to or adopt another Christian faith and its practice.
Is there an understanding that I do not have, that they are going adopt their husbands faith?
What problems and difficulties does this dilemma have potential of raising?
Should a Christian Protestant man have second thoughts of marrying a Christian-Catholic?
Should a Catholic woman have second thoughts of marrying a Christian Protestant
Is this an issue at all?

Thank you for your time and consideration!!!
May God Bless and Keep Yours !!! Dave
