You touched me, I ignored. You inspired me, I remain unmoved.
In my deep moments of silence and thinking, Constantly you appear. ... sweetly smiling ... patiently waiting.
To be with you ... FOREVER.
Where are her hands of beauty and delight? Where is light? Where is my light?

This is a powerful poem. Such a sad tale and so revealing of what people don't realize... that their bad actions may not harm them but destroy someone else...
I went to a party Mom, I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink , Mom, So I drank soda instead.
I really felt proud inside, Mom, The way you said I would. I didn't drink and drive, Mom, Even though the others said I should.
I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right. Now the party is finally ending, Mom, As everyone is driving out of sight.
As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I'd get home in one piece. Because of the way you raised me, So responsible and sweet.
I started to drive away, Mom, But as I pulled out into the road, The other car didn't see me, Mom, And hit me like a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say, "The other guy is drunk ," Mom, And now I'm the one who will pay.
I'm lying here dying, Mom.... I wish you'd get here soon. How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom, And most of it is mine. I hear the medic say, Mom, I'll die in a short time.
I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn't drink. It was the others, Mom. The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I. The only difference is, he drank And I will die.
Why do people drink, Mom ? It can ruin your whole life. I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, And I don't think it's fair. I'm lying here dying And all he can do is stare.
Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave. And when I go to heaven, Mom, Put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have told him, Mom, Not to drink and drive. If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I'm becoming very scared. Please don't cry for me, Mom. When I needed you, you were always there.
I have one last question, Mom. Before I say good bye. I didn't drink and drive, So why am I the one to die?
This is the end, Mom. I wish I could look you in the eye To say these final words "I love you and...goodbye".

Life Explained!

(Here's one amusing story that I wish to share with you... just to make you smile and brighten your day.)
On the first day, God created the dog and said: "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said: "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?"
So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said: "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said: "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?"
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow and said: "You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years."
The cow said: "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?"
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created man and said: "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years."
But man said: "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You asked for it."
So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you. Have a nice day!

The pig was unpopular while the cow was beloved. This puzzled the Pig...
PIG: People speak warmly of your gentle nature and your sorrowful eyes. They think you're generous because each day you give them milk and cream. But what about me? I give them everything i have. I give bacon, ham, etc. I give my all..!
The Cow replied, "It's not really what you give when you are dead, it's about what you give while you're still alive".
..Good Night, FFF..

One night on the Net I was looking around, I found a chat room with people abound.
I vaguely recall a short chat with you, A penfriend you'd like, and you spoke English too.
I recall your name L _ _ _ _ _ E from somewhere remote, The next day we emailed a short little note.
How nice you were, and English your strength, So writing became quite frequent at length.
I now know you quite well, and you also know me, A special friendship of trust, care and honesty.
One day I am sure we will meet my good friend So I say to you Ciao and much affetto I send...

In a bar in Toledo, across from the depot, On a barstool she took off her ring. I thought I'd get closer So I walked on over. I sat down and asked her her name. When the drinks finally hit her, She said,"I'm no quitter, But I finally quit living on dreams. I'm hungry for laughter, and here ever after I'm after whatever the other life brings."
In the mirror I saw him, And I closely watched him. I thought how he looked out of place. He came to the woman Who sat there beside me. He had a strange look on his face. Now his big hands were calloused, He looked like a mountain, For a minute I thought I was dead. But he started shaking, His big heart was breaking, And he turned to the woman and said,
"You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille With four hungry children and crops in the field. I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times, this time the hurtin' won't heal. You picked a fine time to leave me,Lucille."
After he left us, I ordered more whiskey. I thought how she'd made him look small. From the lights of the barroom to the rented hotel room We walked without talking at all. Now she was a beauty, but when she came to me She must have thought I'd lost my mind. I couldn't hold her, for the words that he told her Kept comin' back time after time.
"You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille With four hungry children and a crop in the field. I've had some bad times, I lived through some sad times, this time the hurtin' won't heal. You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille."

I shall leave you If I have to. I shall forget you If I have to. I shall forgive you If I have to.
But I shall not hate you Even if I have to. How can I hate you, Whom I have loved so devotedly And so unreservedly?

Happy Birthday Dad - (August 25)

Give 'em a hug, a great big kiss. Because one day, he will be greatly missed.
My dad has gone far away from this land, I miss the precious touch of his loving hands.
I never knew last year was the last day, I could look at my dad, hug him, and say: "I love you, Dad! Happy Birthday!"
Don't let one day go by without telling him how dear he is! Remember you may not have another year to tell him this!
All I have now is great memories, a heart full of love and eyes full of tears, and to remember his love throughout the years.
Now I will have to look up at the stars and say, "I love you, Dad! Happy Birthday!"
Please remember when you pray, to thank your heavenly father up above. For your father he gave you with so much love.
"He lived, for Jesus died; He died, for Jesus Lives."
