As my mentor would say I haven't got a lot but a lot wants what I have. I've little to offer, but I will offer whatever I can. You might not have everything, but you've got everything you need for now. The rest will make its way to you in this life and the next.
Ups-a-daisy draw the curtains wide
pull the blinds step outside
bouncing in my funky feet
on a mossy path, the sun glitters
upon the orange leaves
breathe in the arrival of the spring air
where the hyacinth bouquet is with iris
the trees are gently swaying,
birds are chirping, the lambs are
bleating and cows are mooing
the black cat is staring
through the kitchen windows
I look up the sky heaven knows
why it leaves me in awe of how
high the skyscrapers are built
if only I could fly
