Delight in One Another

Today's Scripture

“And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us…” (Ephesians 5:2 AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you delight in those around you? Do you esteem and honor the people God has placed in your life? Sometimes it’s easy to take for granted your family and close friends, but it’s so important to honor and value those around us. You are God’s representative in the earth and when you proactively bless and encourage the people in your life, you are displaying God’s love for them. Not only are you showing God’s love to others, the Bible says that when you reach out to others, you are reaching out to God. You are also loving God Himself! Notice this verse doesn’t say, “Walk in love as long as everyone acts the way you want them to.” It doesn’t say, “Esteem others as long as they treat you right.” No, it simply says, “walk in love as Christ loved…” There are no conditions to God’s love, and there should be no conditions to our love for others. Make the choice to love others today. As you step out and walk in love, God promises to pour out His love and blessing on you in return!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, help me to love others today the way You love me. Show me how to be a blessing to the people You have placed in my life. I choose to honor You by honoring others today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Today's Scripture
"And you He made alive, when you were dead in your trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Aren't you glad that Jesus came to give us life? Think about that for a minute right now. You used to be dead in your sins and trespasses; you used to have no hope. You used to live in fear. But once you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you weren't dead in your sin anymore. You now have hope for the future. You are alive in Christ! God wants you to live life to the fullest today. It doesn't matter how you may feel or what you are facing, start thanking God for giving you life. Even if He didn't do another thing for us, giving us eternal life is more than enough reason to praise and thank Him every day. Thank Him for eyes to see and ears to hear. Thank Him for the air that you breathe. Thank Him for loving you and giving you life today. Praise opens the door to blessing. As you thank Him for the little things, you'll begin to see God moving in your life in a big a way. He'll pour out more of His favor and blessing on you, and you'll move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for making me alive in Christ today. Thank You that I am new. Show me how to live every day to the fullest so that I can enjoy life the way You intended. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

It Still Hurts...

I don't know how long will it take to ease the pain... I'm really really hurt everytime i see or heard things he does that he didn't do when we're together... It only proves me one thing that our relationship is all a lie and that he doesn't love me at all.. I give so much to our relationship not even demand things he should do to be a real bf..always understanding his shortcomings.. All the while I was thinking he's still adjusting to the situation because he never had a real relationship before.. but now that I'm seeing the difference of his treatment to us only did I realized that he doesn't love me at all.. I wasted my time for loving him too much.. I know that i should not feel this because he's not worth it but i can't help the pain Im feeling right now

Find Rest

Today's Scripture
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Sometimes the pressures of life can cause unnecessary stress. So many people these days lose sleep worrying about things or people in their lives. But God wants us to live a life of rest and peace. When Jesus walked on this earth, He took time for Himself. He got away from the crowds. He spent time with the Father. He found rest. He was gentle and humble in heart. Do you ever notice that when you are stressed out or worrying about something, you’re less tolerant of the people around you? You’re more likely to say something you don’t really mean. But God wants you to cast your cares on Him so that you can live with a gentle and humble attitude toward others. When you learn to release your burdens and follow the example that Jesus gave, you will find rest for your soul. You will be rejuvenated and refreshed. You will find peace in your heart, and you will move forward in the abundant life God has for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, today I choose to cast my cares on You. Teach me, Holy Spirit, to have a gentle and humble attitude. Help me find rest for my soul so that I can love others the way You love me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Plan for Good

Today's Scripture
“those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness” (Proverbs 14:22).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you wake up every morning expecting favor and blessing on everything you do? Do you plan for what is good? When we plan for what is good, the scripture tells us that we find love. The scripture also tells us that God is love. When you plan for what is good, you will find God in the midst of your plans. What do you expect as you go throughout your day? Don’t let the negative voices of the world or other people in your life get you focused in the wrong direction. It doesn’t matter what is happening in the economy or the housing market, God’s plan is for your good. When you plan for good, you are in agreement with God. You and God are a majority. Do you need more of God in your life? Do you need more love, peace and faithfulness? Plan for what is good, and you will move forward into the life of victory the Lord has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, thank You for the good plan You have for my life. I choose Your plan and ask that You direct my mind and thoughts according to Your purposes. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

New Creation

Today's Scripture
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (II Corinthians 5:17).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Everyone loves to get something new. But as a believer in Jesus, you’re not only getting something new, you are something new. You are a brand new creation! Your eternal being, or the spirit on the inside of you, is re-created in Christ. The old is gone, the new has come. The Bible says that we are to work out our salvation. That means you have to retrain your body and mind to act, think, speak and live according to the new spirit within you–instead of the old habits you used to have. Don’t ever get stuck in a rut thinking, “I’ll never change…that’s just the way I am.” No, the Bible says that the Spirit of God aids us in our weakness. He gives us strength to overcome. He empowers us to live as more than conquerors. Is there something you want to change in your life today? Remember, you are a new creation in Christ. You are empowered to overcome. You are equipped to walk in the new, abundant life the Lord has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
Father in Heaven, thank You for making me a new creation. Thank You for empowering me to live as an overcomer. I give this day to You and ask You to help me fully understand the plan You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today's Scripture
“Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God" (Mark 10:27).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
With God all things are possible! Now that’s a very broad statement. But, it doesn’t mean you can just do anything you want. You have to get with God first. In order to get with God, or align yourself with Him, you have to obey His Word. You have to submit yourself to Him and His plan for your life. You must turn your back on your old life and your old way of doing things. When you are in agreement with God and His Word, then all things will be possible. When you make your thoughts agreeable to His Word, than your plans will be established and you will succeed! Make whatever changes are necessary in your life today so that you can align yourself with God. Don’t hang around people that will try to drag you down. Guard what you watch on TV and what you listen to. Be determined everyday to spend time in prayer and studying the Word. The Bible promises that as you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. As you are in agreement with God, all things will be possible for you, and you will live the life of victory He has planned for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I want everything You have in store for me. Today I choose to align myself with You. Show me if there is anything in my life that is displeasing to You so that I can walk with You all of my days. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
