Rose number one is for the angry hurtful words he always says that he claims to have not meant. Rose number two is for the two reasons why she attempts to stay and forgive him; their son and their daughter for they need their father.
Rose number three is for the three things she uses to attempt to hide the shameful bruises. heavy make up dark sunglasses and long sleeve blouses. Rose number four is for all the times he said he felt so sorry for hurting her and continued to hit her and say demeaning things. Rose number five is for the fear and dread that consumes her daily life… …. That makes her feel so scared to stay but keeps her with him.
Rose number six is for the countless times she has called the police just to drop the charges for she is scared of his angry fists and that he may beat her again. Rose number seven is for the several times that her family and her friends have known what he does to her but choose not to step in for it is not their business.
Rose number eight is for the several times she has gone to the emergency room. where the staff has known what really caused her physical injuries but choose not to help protect her and her children. Rose number nine is for the words that echo through her mind “ Till Death Do We part” and how many times she has wondered how true that vow really is, wondering if her husband was going to kill her… … … Rose number ten is for countless affairs he has that she knows about that but dares not to say anything for she fears for her life. Rose number eleven is for the nurses and doctors that are working to save her life, for he beat her so bad that she had been rushed to the emergency room….. Rose number twelve he just laid upon her casket where at 34 she will lay forever… …
a dozen wilted black roses, another woman dies… …. … But he gave her a dozen roses.

I Want A Coffee

If you are sophisticated, you might say you want a coffee With a taste of chocolate, Or a full fruity flavor, maybe a hint of oak, or a nutty bite. If you tastes run simpler, you might ask For it fresh with a little half and half or a spoon full of sugar. But I want a coffee that tastes of wood fires In a mountain cabin, of a winter morning's frosty balconies I want the coffee of hot tropical nights And revolution steaming away from the heavy mugs On wooden tables in the outdoor island cafes For the coffee that takes me to New Orleans day and night Before and after the flood, with graveyards and trolleys With that overwhelming feeling that grows in my heart When I think of those I love, parents, children, and friends
I want that love in my mouth overflowing with comfort While longing to be near them, this is the coffee I would drink For this coffee I would walk the narrow mountain paths Leading a burro laden down with burlap bags of beans.

This elderly couple is watching one of those television preachers on TV one night. The preacher faces the camera, and announces, "My friends, I'd like to share my healing powers with everyone watching this program. Place one hand on top of your TV & the other hand on the part of your body which ails you & I will heal you." The old woman has been having terrible stomach problems, so she places one hand on the television, and her other hand on her stomach. Meanwhile, her husband approaches the television, placing one hand on top of the TV and his other hand on his groin. With a frown his wife says, "Ernest, he's talking about healing the sick, not raising the dead."

They say money makes the world go round and I'm inclined to believe it's true every one needs to have a little money it's amazing the things that they'll do some work two jobs a day for cash some hustle the streets all night long others break the law and sell drugs they'll tell you what they do's not wrong
Many try all their lives to find that one big lucky break they try a get rich quick scheme or two but find out that's a mistake I tell you there's only one way to make the money you need Just keep your nose to the grind stone and keep it there till it bleeds
It's best to work for your money even if it's gone before it's made there's always something that comes along that just has to get paid you do your best to get it right try to keep the plans you made but the longer you work for your goal the more your life's dream fades
Working today to pay off last week charging the things that you need getting deeper and deeper in debt has nothing to do with greed we all need to have some money money makes the world go round I love to see my bank account go up but all it does is go down...

While we starve for rain in Iowa Great New York will shut its subways Even New Jersey’s casinos will close Reminded again how little Is the power we truly have. Your wind-breath swirls an awful scene intensified by frightened screams as scared folks cringe and think youre mean while others wish you were a dream But in your wake, we'll feel serene from fresh reminders you impact uncertainty can keep us keen to harvest moments rich in heart.

Intense pressure starts to build, behind the eyes & base of the neck. It travels all up my neck and over my head. My skin starts to crawl on top of my head! My eyes feel bulging yet, they most likely are not. I constantly see "silver rain"!!!!! Suddenly, a Pulsating, Throbbing occurs on the Right side of the Head! I crawl into bed. If I move, even an *inch*, *pain* bursts from my head!
It is like an Ice Pick, Hitting my Spine from the side or back of my head!

Oh my soul, be thou quiet This is not 'another diet' Just a program of exchange Though some things do seem strange
Raw vegetables and 'brock-o-lee' Does not sound too good to me Lots of tofu and bean sprouts While my empty stomach shouts
The meaning here is quite plain; This program is designed for pain Someone with anorexia planned A program that tastes like sand
My hands are sweating, my soul is dreading I must keep this thing from spreading My only hope, the paper shredder It finally made this diet better.

Most Filipino Women are Con Artist

In many countries where there are a large number of unemployed or underemployed individuals, such as the Philippines and others, the illegal means of reaping off unsuspecting and ill-advised pen pals online has been turned into a career. Some of these fraudsters have turned stealing money online into a science. In the Philippines, for instance, getting money by deceptive practices online has become a source of income for a great number of girls and women. In fact, in many quarters, these shameful practices are viewed as a means to help themselves and nothing to be ashamed. Unfortunately, some parents just close their eyes on their sons or daughters' illegal business because the former benefit from it. Matter of fact, some con artists consider bilking money out of men as a job from which to pay for their next vacation, feed their families, and pay their kids' college tuition, and more. One of the many ways in which con artists ask their pen pals for money is through the chat rooms or by email. However, they prefer using the chat rooms because they use emotional tone in their voice when speaking with their pen pals to get their attention and sympathy. To give you an idea on how some fraudsters use the chat rooms to trick their misinformed pen pals, read the following conversation. Here is a Conversation between the Con Artist and one of her Male Pen Pals. The conversation goes like this: "Hi, honey! How're you? This is Jane." "Hi Jane! I am fine, thanks, and you?" "John, sweetheart, it could be better, though." "You don't sound too happy, Jane. Am I right?" "Hmm. I think you are, John." "What's the problem, sweetie?" "It's my mother; it's not me, but I'm scared." "Is there a problem?" "Yes, but I don't want to discuss this with you." "Sweetie, you can talk to me about anything." "You see, this morning my mother was rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack." "I am sorry to hear that." "My problem is that my dad has lost his job and I don't know what to do right now." "Is there something I can do to help?" "I don't know. The hospital said that she will stay in the (ICU) intensive care unit for a week, and they said someone would have to be responsible for the hospital stay. That's why I am so shaky and upset right now." "Here's what you do, sweetie. Find out what the hospital bills are and let me know." "Yeah, but even though I need help, but I really don't want you be involved with this thing. Since you offered your help, then I'll tell you what it is when the hospital let me know about that bill." "OK darling. Hope you mother feel better and you should take care of yourself. Don't worry too much about it." "Thanks honey! You make me feel a little better now. I will chat with you soon. Thanks again for everything. Talk to you soon!"
Three Days Later
Three days later, the con artist returned to the Internet Café to continue her online conversation with her male pen pals. "Hello, darling John! This is Jane. How is your day?" "Quite well. And yours? By the way, how is your mother doing?" "Oh God! John, sweetheart, I am now so scared that I barely sleep at night." "Sorry to hear that. Is it about your mother?" "Yes. Her doctor has told my sister and me that she is near death." "Is there something that I do to help?" "Just some bad news: the cost of her medication is $1,500.00 and the hospitals stay $2000.00. Nobody around here has this kind money to help my mother. I am so freaked out!" "Jane, darling, I am sorry for what is happening with you over there. As I already promised you, tomorrow morning, I will send via Western Union an amount of $3,500.00 for the cost of hospital stay and her prescriptions. Would that be okay?" "Sweetheart John, I cannot thank you enough. God will repay you for me. You are truly an angel. I love you so much. Thanks again. Until tomorrow." Jane has $3,500.00 coming to her from just one pen pal. In the course of several weeks thereafter, he has repeated the same process with four other unsuspecting pen pals and she ended up collecting $2000.00 from them, which gave her a net total of $3,500.00. In a small and poor country, such as the Philippines, making around $3,500.00 in about a month is just beyond anyone's imagination. I am sure you realize that, in essence, the con artist did not ask her male pen pals for money directly. In fact, she made believe that she did not want him to be involved in that kind of family affair. Wouldn't you agree that the con artist knew how to throw her fishing-net over his uninformed pen pal? I think that many foreign nationals should be privy of important information on how to detect con artists online. In the absence of such information, these fraudsters can easily bilk thousands of dollars from gullible men online. If you are thinking approaching a Filipino woman for marriage, protect yourself. Forewarned is forearmed. Empower yourself with relevant knowledge and you will not be taken by any con artists, no matter how hard they try.
I read this article just now.I am a filipino, too but doing this is not good to the rest of the filipino women who are genuine in having a foreigner as their husbands/bf.
