Do You Like Your Name?  Most of us don’t have the opportunity to pick our first name because they are given to us at birth by our parents. Some really love their given names while others wonder what was going through their parents’ minds when they chose their names. Regardless, our name is what identifies us to the world, and it is the tag that people get to know us by. I find some names very interesting. As a matter of fact, sometimes people will even say things like “He doesn’t look like a Sam” or “ Evelyn is a perfect name for her.” Hmmm.. is it perfect for me? Well, they call me Lyn lol.. Sometimes we do tend to make some general judgments about people based on their names. Of course, a discussion about first names raises the following two questions I would like you to think about today. First, if you could change your name, would you? Second, if you could, what would you change your name to and why? As you know, some people actually have their names legally changed, but most of us just stay with the name we were given at birth. So how do you feel about your name?

........oh i love my name! it's unique and perfect for my three letter word surname !  i thank my nanay for this...i've encountered my copy when i was in 5th grade and no regrets having my first copy in class...she's the prettiest in class ( mestiza ) and doing well in academics.I think she's proud of me too using the same name as hers-not really that cute or a beauty but popular in school  --never have a thought of changing my name ---it goes with my personlity right!

I really like my name what i dont like is my family name....literal translation in english would mean fondle me. it was torture when i was in school during roll call esp in collge. oh the looks i get from the guys... it...was...embarrassing!!

My name is a little bit longer and also a combination of modern and classic choices. I looked at it as an ultimate punishment when i was growing but now, I learn to resign to the reality that my name is great and I must like it. Till now am still Jenny Lei Beatrice Marie. Aaargh!!!

oh and when i was in elementary it was kinda fun having a then famous japanese anime character with the same name...my classmates would tease me but it was still kinda fun

i like my name i never really wished it to be different even when i was a kid mostly i tried to find out what my name means and apparently depending on where your looking, it has different meanings some meanings that have been associated with my name: -in the English baby book i read it meant, powerful and regal  -in chinese calligraphy it means love, lucky and cartoon

it really took me months to learn to write my name and like it now especially that Socorro is Kuh Ledesma`s real name which happens to be one of my fave singers..

ok. my friends..let me share with you about my name..i really didn`t like my name/s when i was young coz it`s too long and i can`t write them all lol..imagine writing Maria Evelyn Socorro....i ended up writing Evelyn only haha..

sis, good evening!!! I hated my name because my fellow classmate made fun and murdered it. It just sounded too foreign for this kids here. My ideal name would be "samantha". Growing up as a kid watching "Bewitched". I loved the name. But, wouldn't go as far as changing it... names can sometimes affect our moods especially if we don`t like it and people would tease or judge you for it, but those were the days for you..too late to change now lol..
