BAD ACCENT IN USA THEY CALLED THEIR COINS DIFFERENT THAN OURS, 50 CENTS THEY CALL IT HALF DOLLAR, 25 CENTS IS QUARTER, 10 CENTS IS DIME, 5 CENTS IS NICKLES AND 1 CENT IS PENNY...MY STORY BEGUN WHEN I WENT TO K-MART AND ITS TIME TO PAY, I GOT SO NERVOUS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO COUNTS THEIR MONEY AND THE WEIRD THING IS THE 5 CENTS IS BIGGER THAN 10 CENTS ? AND THEIR MONEY DON'T HAVE NUMBERS SO IT SO CONFUSING  WELL, THE CASHIERS ASK ME FOR $10.65 I GOT SO NERVOUS BUT WHAT I DID IS I SHOW HER ALL MY MONEY AND ASK HER TO GET THAT AMOUNT... YEYPEYYYYY  I SURVIVE  ONE DAY MY HAVE SPELLING TEST AT SCHOOL SO WE TRY TO REVIEW HIS WORDS EHEM EHEM...I SAY THE WORDS AND HE WRITE IT DOWN, EVERY THING ARE JUST FINE UNTIL THIS WORDS COME, THE PENNIES... ITS A 1 CENT... MY WAS PUZZLES WHEN I SAY THE WORD PENNIES, HE SAY WHAT MOM?  I PRONOUNCE IT WRONG  I PRONOUNCE IT LIKE A MAN THING LOL...GOOD THING MY WAS THERE AND SHE TOLD HIM THE RIGHT WORD LOL...YEEEYYYYYY I SURVIVE AGAIN LOL... UNTIL NOW I STILL CAN'T PRONOUNCE THAT 1 CENT AND I NEVER SAY THAT WORD AGAIN...OO NOO... The most beautiful thing can not b seen & touched it must felt with heart  |

Hurray for our kids huh?...lolz...i sometimes have that problem too... Hi sis sugar.... lol, gosh sis not only the accent is my problem but also the right and left i went with my mother in law to walgreen and i was telling her to go on the right but my hands pointing to the left...she's like and i did it again so finally she told me, honey just point the street not left or right The most beautiful thing can not b seen & touched it must felt with heart

accent is my greatest hindrance when applying for a job here. Some people pretend they don't understand you when in reality they do. folks here expect that immigrants can speak their language as good as the natives and accent free. or even better, they want you to speak their language better than they could. i can speak the language fluently, but my accent, it stays. ~ Jolielaide

oh we do pronounce and say something we don't mean really... yes sis, the good thing it happen only to my son, can you imagine if the teacher ask me that and i pronounce it like a man thing, hehehe...the class room must be all laughing lol... jane thank you for joining... accent is my greatest hindrance when applying for a job here. Some people pretend they don't understand you when in reality they do. folks here expect that immigrants can speak their language as good as the natives and accent free. or even better, they want you to speak their language better than they could. i can speak the language fluently, but my accent, it stays. thats too bad that they don't accept you because of the accent but your good on that job ... esp. they pretend not to understand you thats the worse part... but sometimes, some job like english teacher, they needs to be speak clearly... but sis we actually lucky because even we have accent we can understand them but if we speak our own language to them hehehe they can't understand right? ,,,words,,, words sooo confusing!!! yes lol, plus english have lots of words that almost the same sound... lol like one time in the chat room, it got flood if i transfer to flash, some one say, sugar you make flood... and i say, opppppssss sorry, i transfer to flush then i realize it was wrong spelling and i make a joke... i flush the toilet hehehe... have a nice day sis...The most beautiful thing can not b seen & touched it must felt with heart
