father's day..it's about time...hahaha

first, let me congratulate and greet all the (good)fathers out there, on their day..great work guys....

why do i say it's about time?..well,..i don't really know when fathers got this day to celebrate them, started, but i do know that mother's day is being celebrated for a long time now..why?..for the fact that they are the moms, the cornerstone of the home..the moms hold the family together..the moms are the ones usually go to, to talk with when something arises, coz they are the ones that understands..all that sort of things....and the dads?..

the dads usually are the misunderstood partner in the partnership, almost always....the dads are always the ones looked down upon as the ones that are never there for the ..that dads prefer to work more than to spend time with family..that dads are the meanest when they say no to their ....that dads are harder to talk to, to understand their , why go to moms..that dads never and if they do,seldom appreciate things about the family..that dads are..i'll stop here....

to explain being a dad to mothers is hard for moms to grasp, just like it's hard for me to understand why women are the way they are....but, i do love women as they are, anyway..

i just want to greet all the dads..only the responsible, loving , and caring dads..a wonderful father's day....if your not this kind of dad, you don't deserve this day....

Bok,

For me, responsible or not as long as you are a father this is your day. I wanna cross my fingers that this day will bring somethings best for better fathers and something better for the soon to be "good fathers".

Your "lamentations"

led me back to my memory lane with my dad.He was the one I patiently waited to hear my failure and success stories, to ask for allowance, to attend my recognition day and he was also the one who knew first if i got suitors. I counted on his opinion before deciding on my love affair...mind you, we were never been closed but i got this bond with him..why? because mom insisted and painted to my mind the perfect picture of my dad.

It was only later when I was already a professional that I knew the whole truth behind it...no more room for bitterness coz i personally understood that its no use having one.

now, I choose to keep the good dad that I knew.

and healed the pain of the discovered truth.

thanks for sharing your observations about how a father figure is sometimes "figured out", and you are not alone with that observation...siguro kasi mas malambing lang talaga ang mothers kaya ganon...but still...a DAD is a DAD to their children...NO MATTER WHAT!
and being a GOOd father is a plus!
and i agree....every DAD deserves a day off today and celebrate!!!

Doesn't matter what people say, even moms and wives...the most important thing is that your children know you love them unconditionally. I don't know your kids, but I know you...a little, and I say they're pretty darn lucky. So, enjoy your day with them tomorrow and everyday. Happy Father's Day, Bok.
