the risk, (wof-wof) to my trade..araaayy!!(gruesome pic attached) being a letter carrier, is not an easy task..  ..sure, i'm not the fire fighter that saves lives from a burning structure; not a member of the police corps who keeps us free from all criminalities; not a member of the military that sustains our freedom and independence..but we do have a risk involve too, in this kind of a job, a highly regarded one at that, to the organization i work for..DOGS..  ..are our risk..everyday, when we hit the streets to deliver the mail, we risk ourselves to attacks, bites..(well, sometimes, people too, even nastier than dogs.. ) i have been very careful about this risk and i thought i'll come out/retire from this job, unscathe..well, not that lucky.. ..with all the years i've been doing this job, the extra effort i put in concerning this risk, a bit me..araayy....the dog, big dog, mix shepherd and akita, came from behind, nary a sound, and bit me on my upper, inner right thigh.. ..i must say..still lucky..the got me, inches from my manhood.. ..i guess, i have to pay back for all the dogs that went through me....just have to be more vigilant with these dogs..

2 yrs ago i had the same experienced with a dog(a puppy) i was in the mountain and mostly houses there have bathrooms outside  i had to p- and didn't notice the puppy sleeping next to the stairs and i stepped on his tail! the animal bit me!the owner of the house sucked the wound to take out the rabies  i had several injections which i cannot continue there for i have to go back here. they quarantine me directly the moment the plane touched down and had to go directly to institute for tropical desease  dogs are scary animals ~ Jolielaide

Bokboyong,the last guy to die of rabies in London was a pinoy working in the UK as a postman,he went back to pinas for vacation,was bitten in his home village,and died upon returning to the UK.

My brother in law died a year after he was bitten by a puppy...so better see a doctor bro. and take what is necessary.  Follow your dreams... and hit the mark.

sad to learn about what happened to you. hope you are better now. is there such a thing as dog-detecting device? you might need that I love you - those three words have my life in them

Dad used to have the same problem when he worked as a mail/postman. He used to watch out for the dogs and kept a distance from the door and walk quickly away from it. Got bit by a small quiet sneaky dog myself a few years ago here on each leg. It only barked in high pitch at the last minute when it tried to gnaw its way through my skin but thankfully failed. Thankfully, I was wearing long jeans and it's teeth marks only stayed on my legs for a year but the bite on each leg didn't penetrate through the skin. Hopefully, the dog doesn't have rabies but I'm not sure. The dogs usually get vaccinated here but at the same time the dog lived in a risky area.  I worry about certain animals but it doesn't stop me from liking to loving them.    within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Ooohhh... That's a nasty bite. Used to have an akita and I'm glad to say that they don't bite that hard. Well, it's a good thing it wasn't a Rott. I'm sorry to know that you got that nasty bite.

It didnt taste like chicken kamasutra,dogs a strong tasting meat,cat tasted like chicken,whitish meat,and yes,your right,the cat was in siopao in downtown cebu near colon

ayannnn... kaya pala galit sa iyo ang mga aso sila pa naman ang number one enemy ng mga kartero (ingatz ka na lang palagi at magdala ng pepper spray...pigtapos suka at bawang na lang ang kulang nyahahaha) naglipana lalo ngayon ang mga Doberman (kalalaki pa naman nun at di mo kayang pilipitin ang eklog ngek! ingatzzzz pare ko)
