The Lonely Black Swan(True story) One day there where two swans who loved each other very much.They had been through good times and bad.Scarcely enough food to eat,cold weather.Sunny days while playfully splashing each other with there bills and wings.So many years had passed,until one day this smaller younger waterfowl came swimming up behind them,several lengths away.He kept making noises so that they would notice him,and they did.Especially the lady swan,however she did not want to show it.After all she was in love with her mate and devoted to him.Well this went on for a couple of months.This duck would follow them around everywhere.One day the male swan,who was as white as the lady swan was,noticed some small fish swimming below them and saw an opportunity to catch them some supper.Again and again he would splash his head into the water and jab at the fish.Until,with one more swift grab,supper was had.He swam right over to his lady to give her the fish,but she was no where to be seen.And neither was the waterfowl.He called out to her,for hours upon hours,with a very sad trumpeting sound.Still his mate was nowhere to be found.He swam back and forth,everywhere along the river where they had always gone.Still she was nowhere to be found.Day into night back into day,for weeks,months,years.So dark and heavy was the male swans' heart.That slowly,his feathers of white became grey,and then finally black.He can still be heard sometimes,trumpeting his very sad song in the night.Looking for his lost love...that lonely Black Swan. niyyah2007/Walter J.
