All I need to know about life I learned from my dog! PLEASE COMMENT All I need to know about life I learned from my Dog! * If you stare at someone long enough, eventually you'll get what you want. * If it's not wet and sloppy, it's not a real kiss. * Be aware of when to hold your tongue and when to use it. * Leave room in your schedule for a good nap. * Don't go out without I.D. * Always give people a friendly greeting - a cold nose in the crotch is effective. * When you do something wrong, always take responsibility (as soon as you're dragged out from under the bed). * Be direct with people; let them know exactly how you feel by piddling on their shoes. * When you go out into the world, remember: always take time out to smell the roses, and trees, grass, rocks, and fire hydrants. PLEASE COMMENT Thank You For Your Time and Consideration ! Be Safe !! and, God Bless You and Yours !!! Greetings Everyone, Thought I'd share this fun little reflection on our best Little Friends. There is more truth to this post's title than I really want to admit. I had my dog for 10 plus years. His name was KAISER (German for Emperor). He was a Champion Large Terrier, 65 LB, American Staffordshire. He was the most beautiful, friendliest, most sensitive well mannored dog I had ever been around. It is sad to say, especially as a Christian, that It was from my dog, Kaiser; that I learned the finest principles of Christian Living. Christ's principles of Joy, Reconciliation, Unconditional Love, Forgiveness, compassion, companionship, etc. I saw first and most purelly exemplified in my dog. JOY: When I came home after work, Kaiser spent literally 5 minutes going nuts, running, jumping, yelping, barking, JOYOUSLY CELEBRATING me and my arrival home. RECONCILIATION: When He got in trouble, it was obvious that Kaiser would do anything to get back in my good favors. The last thing he wanted to be was in the 'doghouse.' He went out of his way to know that he was still loved by his master. FORGIVENESS: When I let him down, forgot his water or food, left him outside, spanked him, snapped out him undeservedly. Did he react? No, He held no grudges, He just was so glad to be mine. That other stuff was just plain forgotten - even baths. COMPASSION: When I was sick, stubbed my toe, had hurt feelings, depressed, etc. Who was always immediately at my side. I could see in his eyes, his empathy and concern. COMPANIONSHIP/FRIEND: Never was happier - Never wanted to be anywhere else - Always Wanted To Be At His Master's side. Especially, when Master had food, ie., popcorn. = UNCONDITIONAL LOVE Kaiser died 5 April, 2001. I still miss him, my friend! Dave Thank You For Your Time and Consideration ! Be Safe !! and, God Bless You and Yours !!! DAVE Hebrews 10;24-25: And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works; Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one anothe: and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
