I Still Believe

This being my birthday week, I've been trying some new things. Looking for friends online. Trying to recapture a day-to-day joy of just getting up in the morning. I've drank some red wine. Flirted some, then looked over my shoulder to see who's watching. Did some clumsy stuff in the process. That's okay. It be's that way sometimes.

But just now I clicked on a song from years ago that somehow touched something inside I had forgotten about. A darker place where the joy is tinged with pain and tears, but does nothing to dimenish any of them. I wonder if that's truer place for me to be. Or at least to acknowledge all the layers I have accumulated and to express myself through a greater spectrum of verbiage and media.

The song is "I Still Believe" by Tim Capello and has one of the dirtiest sweetest sounding saxaphone's I every heard on a rock and roll song.
