May 18 my Philippine visa expires.....now what?

I have been here in the Philippines almost a year now - going back and forth my sister's and my brother's.

While on vacation here, I have tasted both sides of life - not quite but almost. At my sister's, I live a luxurious life - having my own 3rd floor, completely furnished with opulent furnitures...with my own bathroom and kitchen and the whole terrace all to myself! It is so cool there at nights and I just love to watch the starry skies. When it's really hot, I take a dip in the pool...go anywhere I want to go, with a driver to take me around. My sister leads a very social life so I go places with her all the time, getting really dressed up, meeting people, etc.

In contrast, my brother lives in a city outside Manila - but I wouldn't call it a city. It still looks like the country or province to me. He leads a simple life now although he had a richer social life than my sister's - being retired from his construction business. He doesn't like the hustle and bustle of the big city. It is so laid back here. Wow! I tried things I have never tried here before...like riding the jeepneys, pedicabs and buses (at least they're air-conditioned now) and the LTR! I like that one - fast and clean. I don't remember Manila having air-conditioned buses before I left for the states in 1973. I've been going to the market and love the cheap prices! I even had my hair colored in one of those "beauty " stalls in the market - can you believe it!!! I even have walked around where they sell meat and fish - that I don't really care doing again. But, this simple life is fun! No worries nothing But, of course, that's just about 3 months that I did this at my brother's.

Hmmmm...come to think of it, I lived in big cities and small towns, USA So small that life there was so simple...except I always had a car and went to supermarkets, so it still wasn't as simple as I have been experiencing here

Now I can really say, I know both sides now!

Yes, bro! And you know what? I found out you don't have to be wealthy to be really happy.
