Please pray for my Uncle...

It's been over a week and my Uncle is still in ICU. My cousins (who are in Florida) and I (somewhere near in Cerritos, CA) are thinking of converging to San Francisco, CA to visit him and/or pay our respects. Please pray for his speedy recovery...

--------------
Update as of Sept. 6, 2008

Well it's official, I will be flying to SFO (San Francisco) this Sept. 12 to 15th. My uncle just had surgery to clear the blood coming out from his catheter (which is good, since no more blood need to be infused his body to replace the loss). He is still in ICU and according to my Aunt, currently has an "intubation" in his throat. There might also be some heart surgery, I don't know when... His hands and feet are tied to minimize movements which may aggravate his condition. His temperature is still high however, his CO2 and sugar level is just about normal.

I am particularly close to my uncle. When I was in the Philippines and studying law, he bought/ordered some of my reference books and expects nothing in return after sending it back home.

I remembered before I finished college, I was insisting with my Dad that I wanted to pursue a masteral degree possibly in the U.S. (at my age, I just wanted to be free from Dad and Mom's over-protective, conservative instincts). My uncle looked around for schools near his area. Unfortunately, my dad put his foot down, because he felt that I am too young and should wait for my younger brother to accompany me. Meanwhile, he encouraged me to enroll in law school. That seems such a long time ago.

Even though he lived here in the U.S. for nearly all of my lifetime, he never failed to keep in touch with his roots/family back in the Philippines. All of us, my cousins knew that if we needed him, he will be there for us.

When I immigrated to the U.S., he was very supportive of my plight. He was aware that it will be a huge adjustment and regularly checks my well being.

After my Dad died he was there to give me moral support. I was not able to go home then since I just arrived back to the U.S. after a month long visit to see him. My petitioner employer, won't allow me then to go back home and re-visit and attend his funeral then.

THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR YOUR PRAYERS, especially to THOSE who took TIME to leave their comments!
