A Love Letter

This love letter was send to me by a special someone whose so very dearly to me. I posted it here just to let him know that
I'm so glad to know how he feels for me. Beside,
it is his first love letter for me Honey, thank you for this,,,I will keep it importantly...I love and miss you so much

"It’s Friday night, my last shift for the week. I always look forward to my weekends. I can go to Greenbelt and hang out in PowerBooks. Read some Pablo Neruda poetry, some short stories of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a bio on Che Guevara or a book of some Filipino writers relating their leftist views on Philippine governance.
If I’m in the mood, I can write a line or two, about lost love and its endless pursuit; about loneliness and misery, and about what was and what might have been. If it turns out to be a good poem, I post it in my blog and dedicate it to some stranger who, of course, has a beautiful picture and an interesting profile. Well sometimes, they send me an email thanking me for the poem. But most of the time, they don’t bother at all. A poet is lost without a muse…
But my weekend habit, somehow, disappeared. I would end up in bed staring at the ceiling. I would up end up thinking of you. And start staring at your pictures and the words scribbled from your own hand of how much you love me. And I dream of how soft those hands would be when you’re holding mine. When that happens, I can no longer get out of my bed. I would be lying still, though my heart would tremble, and I will dream of you. I guess Gabriel Garcia Marquez was right about love. It is like an infliction of cholera where one falls into a feverish hallucination.
And I would be imprisoned in this miserable turmoil. I have fallen into this melancholic sea of sadness. And when the sun sets, the night would have grown darker, colder and more silent. I feel like a little bit of me is dying each day.
Then I realized that if I am dying then I must be alive. I had been lifeless, leading years of detachment, isolation and emptiness, without meaning and purpose. One has to sense a spark in life when one feels he is dying. I have realized that I am dying because I love you and you are not with me. The night is darker because your eyes are not here to sparkle. The night is colder because I am not in your warm embrace. The night has been silent because I long for the echo of your sweet voice. How can I not die when we are parted? How can I live if I don’t have your love?
I guess if one is in love, one has to feel lonely, vulnerable and miserable. How can one feel life if one is not dying? One has to feel empty if one wants to be whole. For I know every time I hear your voice, my heart leaps with immense happiness. And my heart dances every time you sing to me. I know that you have given me my life back. I am lonely, vulnerable and miserable because I love you. And I know, with the all loneliness, vulnerability and misery, there is you. And I wait for you to take all these away…When I would be in bed, lying still, with you beside me."

a fellow Neruda fan...i think Jan Neruda is Czech...Pablo's real name was Ricardo Reyes Basoalto. He changed his name to hide his identity from his father, who didn't want him to write poetry. And it's true, pablo was an admirer of Jan Neruda

Your country does have a rich culture and history. I also read this novel by a Czech writer, "Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera. I saw the movies, too, starring Daniel Day Lewis and Juliet Binoche. I think our countries have similarities in terms of its struggle for freedom against tyrannical governments. Our struggle is still continuing though...
I would love to visit Europe. It has been a fascination since my youth. Would love to taste the beer there

Can't help but to leave a line to recognize your poet, my dear. Such a sweet guy you have there, but sounds so lost. He's lucky to have someone so charming....that should help him see the beauty of the next sunrise! But even an angel's wings can sometimes not lift such a heavy load...so be careful not to break them. *hugz*

The jest of his letter sis Tris, it would make him more alive to see you and spend time with you. Still wishing you both can make this come true someday. I thought dead would be finished reading those books by now or is he reading over them again....hehehe.
