I am a kano. I live here in the Philippines and have no intention of ever leaving. I love this land and I love it's people. I love to see the warm smiles on their faces. Though there is much that is bad, in general they are very kind and have gracious hearts. So, even though I only earn Pesos. Even though I only have just enough money to get by. Though I feel out of place and am lonely on many occasions. Yet, this is home. This is my land. These are my people. So, in this place, with these people that I love, I will stay until the day I take my last and final breath. A kano, with a Filipino heart.
