life at 130 mph... a lot of things happened recently that made me step back and think about life. my husband was not able to fly due to hypertension; my mom had eye problem that needs to be taken care of immediately; my unmarried brother was diagnosed of serious kidney problem; plus other small things that just piled up and accumulated. amidst all these, i found myself quitting my job at Ford - the job that i was talking about with so much fondness just a few months earlier. i am tough--- but when it comes to my family, i am the most vulnerable wife, and sister one can ever imagine. at first i thought these trials were too much for me to handle. my spirit almost collapsed. it was just soooo amazing how, after i surrendered everything to the ONE up there, things got lighter and better. HE really is in full control of everything. my husband's health condition has stabilized and he's now back to flying. my mom just had a series of eye check up and is now doing pretty good. my brother is now undergoing a 2x a week kidney dialysis (and is waiting for a kidney donor). and yours truly? i got a new full time job that has more benefits, pays better and gives me the opportunity to work with 2 fellow filipinos. in general, i find life still good. |
