can't we just make love?

i wonder how the war started. i don't even understand why there is war at all. it's just so deafening and disheartening to hear the explosions and the firing of guns while thousands of lifeless bodies of our brothers and sisters continue to soar.

why can't we leave in peace?

i do believe that the only good thing about war is it's end... and i look forward to that day when this long nightmare would finally be over.

Me too, AJ!..Me too!LOVE is what we need...NOT WAR!..Even here in fff....I found a lot of unpleasant people who visit my blogs and make unnecessary comments who ruin the "sense" of the message being conveyed...I don't even know those people and I just could not help but wonder why they are like that..

Just call me ELZ

The topic of how war occurs, when and where is a very controversial issue because there have been many contradictory as well as complementary theories presented. The various school of thoughts who contribute to issues like war are historical, psychological, sociological, demographic, anthropological, evolutionary, rationalist tp political scientists. I come from mainly the anthropological school of thoughts.

Peace on earth is not meant to be I guess as much as we wish for one.

A solution adapted to this problem by militarists such as Franz Alexander is that peace does not really exist. Periods that are seen as peaceful are actually periods of preparation for a later war or when war is suppressed by a state of great power, such as the Pax Britannica.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Like you said sister, the way forward is to at least try to resolve problems within your own relationships with others to keep some peace.

this line of a song, "let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me..." is very timely. let's promote peace!!!

Unfortunately, The end of war is not an end in and of itself. Every major war has its beginning in previously unresolved conflict. War without adequate resolution and finality, only lays the seeds for future conflict. THIS IS NOT PEACE!!! All the pain and loss of today will all be for not if we have go back and do this all over again. We didn't finish the job in '91. Now we're paying the price. War is the natural product of a fallen world where inadequat systems and cultural differences result in conflicting priorities between the parties. Lets be real, the world still functions on the basis of the survival of the fittest. Those are still the rules of the world today. Just because we don't want to play the game doesn't me we can walk off the field. This country is under attack. We need to collectiively gather up our gonads and march to the beat of the drums. Better to be last man standing, then the first conscientious objector to be killed. War is Hell. There is no mercy in trying to soften its blows. That only prolongs the suffering and loss for everyone. Better to go all in, all out, and get it over with as fast as possible. In the end, everyone is better off! This country and our enemies would be better off we if quit worrying about being in a war and started worrying about how to win the d**n thing. Otherwise, we bring our boys home, having fought and died for nothing. Then in another 15 years we'll have to send another generation to finish the job. If you want to end a war - make your enemies blood run blue against your Flag. Then maybe we can get on with building that peace WE'RE ALL so fond of.

Thank You For Your Time and Consideration ! Be Safe !! and, God Bless You and Yours !!! DAVE
