i'm leaving on a (jet) plane again... i'm leaving again for a week vacation next week. this time, we're going to palm springs, california. i love to travel but i had no idea that it is going to be this frequent. no, i am not complaining. i am just saying that i never thought i could do this easily. of course, it would have been impossible if not for my husband who is a seasoned pilot who really loves to fly as if his life depends on it. one good thing about having an airplane is that we can just pack our things and fly. but though it is cool and handy, it also has disadvantage/s. it has no restroom though guys can easily relieve themselves with the aid of a wee wee bottle. for ladies like me, i have to alert the pilot early on so he can look for the nearest airport and land. another few disadvantage/s? the sound of the engine is so loud that i feel some pressures in my ears, i make our own sandwich and i can't meet new friends (from the rest of my co-passengers). there's also a few advantages though and two of these are enough to off set the long list of it's disadvantages. first, we don't have to be at the airport at least an hour before our flight (plus that damn feeling that we might miss our flight). second, we don't have to go through that routine airport security over and over again. i am sure you'll agree with me that these two things i've just mentioned make life a lot easier. |
