any suggestions?

i have just finished reading "american evita." the book tells how hillary clinton, like argentina's eva peron and our very own imelda marcos, plays a very important role in her husband's grand entry to the white house.

my interest in reading books about great and non great leaders started in 1986, at the height of the first edsa revolution that toppled the dictatorship of ferdinand marcos. the first book i bought was about him (marcos) and the second one was about cory aquino, the widow in yellow who occupied the malacanang palace after the marcoses fled. from my very meager school allowance, i bought more books, one by one, and they were all about filipinos (ninoy aquino, diosdado macapagal, manuel quezon, claro recto, antique's evelio javier, joseph estrada, to name a few) who made their names permanently etched in the minds of filipinos and in the history of my beloved philippines. later, i found myself attached to the life stories of leaders of other countries (ford, eisenhower, thatcher, gorbachev, gandhi, peron & mother teresa) whose names you would not miss in the pages of the world history. while i found these books very interesting, my family and friends didn't even try to see their intro pages.

i really love to read. it consumes the bigger part of my day. before i go to bed, i read. when i don't like to go line, i read. when i don't want to watch tv, i read.

and now that i'm done with american evita, i'm thinking of what to read next. i'm not selective. i don't mind reading crazy, odd stories as long as they inform, entertain and educate me.

Hi, Virgo -- may I suggest if you're looking for something to read? Maybe you'd like to read Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah. It's about overcoming life's struggles. It's simple and yet very moving.
