“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.”

Humankind we maybe, but we don't always practice kindness when we're a tad off on the day or someone ticks us off. No matter, hopefully another day will pass to give us a chance to k1ll with kindness and love, in spite of how anyone treats us, we don't always have to go an eye for an eye or tooth for tooth or head-butting. Spring on each other an unexpected good deed instead.

I thought peace has been attained in your country. We don't hear about the strife that much. I guess just like the Philippines, there is still disruptive minorities left. It just amaze me that religious fanaticism can turn political.

I wish and pray that peace reign all over the world this holiday season !

And to you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2013 ! Stay safe.

Janey,

I know this sounds offbeat but to attain world peace (even in a little corner)- you have to shred out human minds and hearts to pieces and replace with remote controlled devices and program in unison. That way, everyone will think and act alike.

I have trouble attaining my peace, what more of the world??

A wish that will remain a wish

Janey,

Merry Christmas!!! Peace to all in Ireland. Little things that irk the people is to obsured? Just doesn't make sense over the amount of time flag? It's not a matter of life and death. People wake up! Now the violence is life and death issue and have to take care immediately. Issues confronted daily some reasonable and often times lean on the ridiculous. Peace to all remember God is the reason...

Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

Wise man Scot. You or I could say something at the wrong time and might end up with broken knees or worst.

Yep the characters in P.T.A are a hoot reminds me of the contrasting personalities of my friends. I also forgot it isn't Christmas, but Thanksgiving day. My mistake. Yet it's close. It's a holiday season.

Will you be voting for Scottish independence in the coming year?
Has anyone wondered whether the government will change the union jack after it?

Exactly Senior. It's more peaceful in general nowadays. Though sometimes, people are temperamental for a cause. Anywhere could've a riot like the anarchist riots prior to London 2012 and the French love a riot, usually to make a stand against the government.

I pity the police, especially if the person doesn't take a particular side whether for a political issue linked with religious belief, but they've to get on with their job anyway.

Nah it isn't offbeat you're right Ate Theta. I feel the same way. Realistic, I don't expect world peace. Peace have to start with us. Each individual.

Perhaps fighting is part of human nature to make a stand for what we believe in, for right or wrong reasons. Then make love after war ideally.

As you suggested, we'd be likened to robots if we thought and appear the same.

I enjoy reading different views thanks sis.

Oops sorry. My scrolling is a bit off this early morning. Should really be in bed. Just preparing gifts with the other half before sleeping.

Hope so too TaJane.

As the song goes. I love this song from school.

Je t'aime
Te amo
Ya ti-bya lyu blyu
Ani o hev ot cha
I love you

The sounds are all as different
As the lands from which they came
And though the words are all unique
Our hearts are still the same

Love in any language
Straight from the heart
Pulls us all together
Never apart
And once we learn to speak it
All the world will hear
Love in any language
Fluently spoken here

We teach the young our differences
Yet look how we're the same
We love to laugh, to dream our dreams
We know the sting of pain

From Leningrad to Lexington
The farmer loves his land
And daddies all get misty-eyed
To give their daughter's hand

Oh maybe when we realize
How much there is to share
We'll find too much in common
To pretend it isn't there

Tho' the rhetoric of government
May keep us worlds apart
There's no misinterpreting
The language of the heart

Hi 'te Tess. Yep it's true about the little things that irk us people. To us outsiders, we could be accused of not understanding their views and beliefs. It's probably why it's better to keep hush hush about it, in case it creates offence.

Irish, whether in the North or South can be nice, very friendly and very funny folks most of the time like anyone in the world, once or if you ever get used to their odd and coarse humour. They can laugh at the strange things.

Warning about the movies above. I forgot it's unsuitable for kids. Unless it's the edited version like the ones shown on TV.

There's some nudity and cursing in T.P, P.T.A and Die Hard also references the politics here.
