How are you all ladies today?

Where I live, it's a custom to give the kids and young at hearts big chocolate eggs for Easter.

What about where you are?

TTYL I assume is to talk to you later.

AFK away from keyboard.

GN . Good day to you.
Cyas means the same as it is spelt.

Thanks very much for your sound advice Ate Azul.
Will try to be careful when I'm online.
Could be more careful but I am not.

Was your head wrecked already prior to reading this, after reading or fried even more during the process of reading the codes?

CBB could mean celebrity big brother or can't be bothered. Will take the latter translation when referring to who can be bothered to read this post.

ahahaha Ate Bebz and Malu.
I'm a novice really because I've only really used the internet since I started epep which was just over nth years ago.
A much shorter time than the good looking nerdies and a geek I know.

As long as we make just a little sense to each other in our blogs.
The rest can be filled with our imaginations.

* A symbol for hi-5 is represented by a circular head and a left or right arm up or both arms up. Like this O/, \O or \O/. There's only one epep blogger that I've noticed used this ever and is a self-confessed geek.

* A lurker is an idle internet user. For several reasons such as preferring to stay on watch mode or park mode in a chat room. Perhaps the person is lurking for now analysing what goes on in a forum prior to deciding whether they would like to participate and during the process of observing they make catch the drift on the rules of the forum and may learn what gets the interest of the readers of a particular site. Like in most places, the subject of anything remotely naughty, seks or taboo subject and other "controversial" topic that people like to avoid usually makes people raise their eyebrows and gets people out of hibernation mode. This in turn may make the lurker want to make contributions later.

*Godwin's law is someone in the net whose behaviour is likened to Hitler.

* Fanboys is a subculture of trolls. Particular fans of whatever product it maybe will avoid at all cost to acknowledge the advantages and good features of the rival product. For example, the ongoing war between consoles the Xbox, Playstations, Nintendo and PC gaming. While the battle between blue-ray and hi-definition dvd players is more likely over.

At the end of it all, no matter how much you try hard to keep up with the latest technology, it will always be replaced by something new that is faster, more sleek, more expensive etc and you can never afford to buy them every one of them.

*Being in forums, you are likely to see an ongoing development of a number of in jokes which are currently trendy such as "R.I.P in peace" and "Less talk, more pork". Anyone who clearly understands the in jokes by using it in the right context through their post or comments earns respect from fellow members. There are also veteran members who will quickly point out if an in joke is dated or no longer in fashion.

They often use certain phrases to answer any questions for example, "What can I buy my girlfriend for Valentines'?"

Answer- "Buy an external hard drive". ......Makes one wonder when they say women are nuts going by this generic answer.

Another the use of "escapegoat" instead of the correct spelling of scapegoat.

*Postcount- <<<Guilty as charge but not intended as others do. Some nerds think that the more postcount they have, the more points and respect they earn from fellow members. The opposite of inferiority complex. They assume they are invincible and have feelings of superiority.

*Got to respect the admins of any site whether you like their features or not. Don't forget your GRMC. Be civil and pleasant to fellow posters too. If you must, lurk before posting.

*Moderators is shortened to mods.

*Private message is shortened to PM.

*White knights is a name referring to men who usually crowd around women members. Defending her to the end whenever anyone criticizes the damsel is suffering from any kind of distress whether it be from her interaction in the real or virtual world. They might also hit on the poor and unfortunate female member.

*Button mashing (a.k.a. button bashing) tends to be associated with female gamers like moi is a term used in console gaming contexts to refer to quick, repeated, and generally random button pressings. Usually, it is employed in an attempt to replace actual skill or practice, but some games have rapid inputs of a single button serve to raise some form of power gauge. This is very common in fighting games where it's hard to remember the combinations of buttons that needs pressed in consecutive order in order to activate a special move.

*One thing I'm grateful for as a gamer is when a lock on system is featured in a game. This means one doesn't have to be precisely pointing at a target because the game mechanics does it for the gamer automatically and accurately when you point at a general direction of a target.

*The meaning of retro games is kinda debatable because it doesn't only refer to how old the game is, but it also takes into consideration the unique game design and game mechanics.

*Spoilers refers to anything that a member posts that may spoil the ending of a television programme perhaps or shows too much information about a new and upcoming game. In order to avoid this from occurring, the member must place certain information that may spoil the ending or spoil the fun of a game by using a spoiler box. Similarly this rule also applies to information that are not safe to view in front of others which must be placed in a NSFW box.

There's a slang for this too.

E-lliterate
meaning lack of computer sophistication.

And if I lose control I'd be committing an e-buse.
Meaning a computer dependence. Over use of net.

We do learn something everyday or at least I try. \O/

There are things I learn indirectly by hearing about stuff through someone else. Other times it's something I encounter that I've to deal with myself while in the process of doing it, I learn something.

Brilliant Ate. Creepy beyond belief is funny as hell. Cheers for this.

You read what had crossed my mind.

In terms of IQ, I'm not.
Pass the test, probably an average score or less.
Don't ask how I pass as I don't know myself.

Appearance wise, I'd fit into the stereotypical look of a geek.
Young Asian who wears glasses and is somewhat good at certain academics. Not sure about my clothes though. I wear both kinds of clothes in and out of fashion. Depending on the weather. Less fashionable I guess during cold winter months when I'm more likely to wear formal clothes like pullovers combined with shirts and trousers.

In terms of social behaviour, I'm louder around people I warm to, I can talk about geeky information with them meaning I'm most comfortable around them. Whilst, I'm quieter amongst people I find hard to warm to or don't like.

Thus, I can adapt to different situations.

In conclusion, perhaps if you agree I'm on the borderline between a little weirdo and a nut. Not geeky enough.

Was thinking of sending you an e-mail Ate Elz.
Haven't done it in a while.
I've to reply to a few backlog of e-mails this week.

It made me laugh writing about this post because it made me feel geeky.

A nerd or a geek, what could be better
A person could be both a nerd and a geek.
Like many terms used, these are subject to change over time.
Depends too on where you use this term.
Quite often British English terms means something different in American English.
Sometimes these words are used interchangeably.

Tossing between a geek and a nerd....I ain't a nerd.
I'll settle for geek. At least a cinephile geek.

1 of my geek friends wants to read this post after telling him I wrote about it.

Indeed thanks for the advanced welcome fella g....
Does it ever bother you if someone calls you a geek?
I very much smell a strong aura of this in you.
If you're willing to participate, do you want to be the king of the geekdom and mad hatter's club.

Man, see I knew you're like ma friend Beach lady not only in the way you both write your blogs, but she also likes to play DOTA like yourself....aheeem aheem aheeem [cough, cough ] you love kids too right?

What other games do you like?
I sense you're into your pc games from your previous blogs.
Do you also like console gaming?
If you do, which games do you play?

On the subject of frag.
I've also tried to frag opponents in 'Gears of War' for the Xbox 360.

Frag is short for fragmentation grenade.
The best tactic in order to use this in multiplayer mode is to frag tag someone with a grenade. Most importantly learn to time it right when you attach a frag on someone then remember to duck for cover when you detonate it. Otherwise prepare to get caught in the explosion and die.

no, it doesn't bother me to be called geek. because in my world, i'm the cool guy. the rest are just.. frag grenade fodder.

indeed the aura is overwhelming. one word. recognize.

oh jane bunny, i'm already king. i don't want to rule more than i can handle. geekdom is a pretty huge place, and i only control 2.3 percent of it.

i love kids. i very much do.

i like console gaming, but not as much as pc gaming. see, there are a lot of limitations.. gameplaywise in console games, but the splendid thing about it is the graphics.

but yes, i prefer pc games. thank you. pc gaming is already up in its own stratosphere.

i like creating games. i like classic games. way back when warcraft 2 was a phenomenon, fallout 2 was an instant cult classic, and civ 2 was built to stand the test of time. i play modern games too but i'm finicky, i play genre-specific games (rts and rpg) and some award winning ones, but only if they're actually worth my time.

absimillliard 42M

tried gears of war but.. i keep getting fragged.

it's funny coz no matter how much of a gamer i try to be (yes, absimilliard has been gaming since before the first home pc was released.. trs-80).. i keep sucking at all these multiplayer games.

my nerd-migos keep asking me..

"abs.. if you're such an antediluvian gamer and a programming veteran.. how come you suck at multiplayer?"

i tell 'em..

"i don't suck, you innocent brat, i just lose all the time. and in case you haven't noticed.. you fragfreaks.. i'm more interested in strategy games and micromanagement simulations than these mindless mayhem you peasants are being lulled into. besides.. the game is flawed."

"yeah right, abs."

"i know, right?"

hmm.. about fragging and frag grenades.. you should try the new team fortress.. they removed the whole concept of grenades to make way for bigger and badder weapons.. but they say you can still "frag" your enemies in unbelievable ways. i guess the word frag has already revolutionized the whole concept of killing your friends in games.
