Remembering 9/11.... ...It's been seven (7) long years, ...Images of horror and chaos are still clear; ...The Twin Towers are gone, but I am still stunned, ...I can't believe I witnessed all that was done. ...The trauma is here, the sirens I could still hear, ...NYPD, NYFD, EMT's, Physicians, Nurses, and RTs; ...All geared to aid the victims of killing spree; ...Why must the innocent suffer, while terrorists rejoiced with glee? ...The dusts of life, spread all over the place, ...In their beloved's hearts, they cannot be replaced. ...Flowers, prayers, hugs, and words of encouragement, ...Offered to all whose broken hearts need to be mend. ...Today, I'll spend the day with lament, ...My tears, I'll wipe, I'll hide my sentiments. ...In silence, I'll weep, the memories, I'll keep; ...This day, I was there, and I'll always remember. Dedicated to all the victims and loved ones of the 9/11/2001 Bombing of Twin Towers, New York City......eb1209 |

It was one of the saddest days in American history, if not the saddest period. I was in Las Vegas when it happened, and my cp just would`nt stop ringing. Thanks for this piece Elz, at least your heart, including mine, along with many others is still there, not letting us forget the many innocent lives that was lost on the most imfamous day called "9-11"

It was horrifying when I actually saw the smokes coming from the building, as I was watching it from the windows of Pediatric ICU where I was working that day...My thoughts wandered, I had gooseflesh all over me. We all awaited orders from hospital CEO...As contingency plans were laid...

I remember when we were dispatched by the hospital near the scene of the barbaric crime, blood, sweat, dusts, smoke, filled the air...I never saw the Big Apple so chaotic ever...All of a sudden, communication lines were cut, only after I received numerous calls from all over the world, from friends and relatives who were worried about my own well-being.

I couldn't run away from it...I dread and feared for my own dear life...But I remembered my oath...I am a Public Servant. I pledged to serve mankind in one of the most noble ways. I just kept on praying with tears in my eyes..."Spare me oh Lord!...I still want to see my only child and family..For they are the reasons why I am here."

I was told that my only son watched while everything was played on t.v....He was crying, he was scared, he was very anxious..He wished he was already here with me, at that time. In his young mind, he remembered THE MAN WHO SAW TOMORROW (Nostradamus), who predicted the New York City will one day be ruined.

New York, the 'City of God'??? The first quatrain to hit email inboxes on 9/11 contained the prediction that a "great thunder" would be heard in the "City of God": "In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb", The third big war will begin when the big city is burning" - Nostradamus 1654

There were lots of dead people who filled the morgues...While hospital beds which were prepared remained empty...They never made it!...Thousands of them, never made it here on earth, but are now, resting in peace, in the company of our CREATOR...

New Yorkers proved it wrong.. Who sez that we are heartless? Who sez that we are cold? Who sez that we are all rude? Who sez we didn't care? I was a New Yorker at that time, and I am very proud to be a part of that history...New Yorkers have Huge, loving and caring hearts...And the world watched..

I was then working at Glendale, California. I am on my way to work and stopped at a regular breakfast restaurant where I usually have my hot chocolate and some breakfast meal combo, suddenly, one of the servers shouted that the Twin Towers in New York was under attacked and was on fire. Hey, why would I care about that, I asked myself, I am but a lowly OFW, so I shrugged, watched the TV and still got fascinated with the chaos that was going on in New York. I paid my bills and went to work. I then realized that, that day, our building needs to be extra cautious since we are VERY near with one of the Tallest Building in Glendale, which houses some of the State of California government offices. Also, that date, the US Government became stringent in accepting application for Permanent Residencies. A lot of time passed, grief, chaos, and uncertainty due to that date which I then shrugged off, but now, became one of the pivotal points in my life. Thanks for visiting and posting...

Trish, I am afraid, I have a selective memory...I choose not to remember the most gruesome images of that piece of history, including the multiple bomb threats that we received even months after the attack...We were on the streets of Bronx with our sick patients on ventilators, or life support. We didn't sleep well for months...We suffered emotionally and had to be counselled. I chose to relocate down here in the slow and somehow backward state of Texas, rebuilt my life with my son who joined me a year after. But I will always remember, for as long as I live...

The saddest sound, there is no buffer. From naked guns, to naked truths. But I will never stop livin’ out my youth. We can work it out,we can make it right. We can do most anything if we think it’s worth our time. We all want peace on earth,we all want piece of mind. No water to drink in the middle of the ocean,we’ll get it right. Make love, not war before the world is over. Do your good before the world is over. Say your peace before the world is over. Make love, not war. We can work it out.I never had no doubt. We’d do the right thing, do the right thing,do the right thing. x2 Make love, not war. And maybe love, has had it’s day. I only say this in the most affectionate way. ‘ Cause we are always fighting, but you could never tell that we pray to heaven ‘cause we fear this may be hell. We should all be happy,we should all be strong. We should do like Rodney King and all just get along. I’m citizen of planet earth,a guest to this one life. A futurist and fatalist all wrapped up in one. Make love, not war before the world is over. Do your good before the world is over. Say your peace before the world is over. Make love, not war. We can work it out.I never had no doubt. We’d do the right thing, do the right thing do the right thing. x2 Make love, not war. United In Memory 911

United we stand, steadfast and tall, committed to peace, and freedom to all. For times like these, that try all our souls, can renew our faith, in ourselves and our goals. Let's open our hearts, as our proud banners wave, o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

It was a day of sadness!!! Just the day before my folks and i were on a bus trip watching a movie of terrorist. Then the next day it happen. So i was in awe. Like art imitating reality. I just could not believe it. My work place was numb. Someone posted the twin tower there in our cafeteria. Until this day it's still up. There was so many family who've lost their love ones. A tragic in history. May God bless all the families who have died and the ones that are still alive. [I God is pure love...
