It's Been A While....But I am Here....

Hiatus, that's what I have been doing. My family in the Philippines had been struck with a crisis. My brother ( 3rd in the family ) was diagnosed with prostate cancer just last month. He was actually debilitated, as the disease affected his nerves as specially on his spine. He is also unlucky with his family. He and his wife separated in 1995, and he was left to raise all of their 4 all by himself. It was very difficult for him, and being that I was more blessed financially, I helped send the to school, and one finished college. The deal was, the college grad will then help support the remaining younger . That did not happen. My brother was a former PC ( Philippine Constabulary ), but was was discharged from service due to AWOL. He is a skilled carpenter, and so, he raised his doing what he knew best. I was devastated when I learned about his condition. It was not about the money to be spent on him, but more of feeling very upset that a member of my family has been stricken with cancer. Needless to say, I sent money for his surgery and hospitalization. He is recovering, and is now able to walk slowly. He is 63 years old, and he is given another 5 years to live.....It makes me wonder, I am in my mid 50's and given a healthy and longer life by the grace of God, how else can I make my life more meaningful and happier? I am planning to retire early....and live life simply.......

Thanks, CC!...I guess, it's time to get up and be pretty again!...hahahahaha! I was feeling so low, knowing that my brother was very sick...But, positivity woke me up...

 hi sis! a silent reader here of your blogs... ...well CC is right, live life to the fullest and make each day count...know your purpose, do simple things that will make you happy and contented and make others feel blessed thru you...maybe being there for your brother is one ..stay happy and positive

Monet, thanks for the visit. I have not posted on my timeline at FB...I am not comfortable venting there. This website is my original sanctuary. As you can see, I have the most number of blogs...This is my therapy...And yes! i will try my level best to stay positive and be happy with the smallest and simplest things in life...Take care!

Believe you me...last month, on my days off, I just lie in bed, even though I couldn't sleep most of the time...I looked horrible...I didn't even want to comb my hair..

 Elz,

Hope ur brother is fine now. Praying in church today for everyone. You are doing the right thing in helping everyone that is much in need of your help. And a distraction from everything that stresses u out. God is good and sees all.

This too was my sanctuary in those troubled 😟 times. Glad to meet u and the rest of the angels.

Tess, there are so many things I cannot write in FB...A lot of real people who are relatives and co-workers will be feasting about my personal life...Here, I can say anything I want without worrying...Even the ghosts don't bother me...If anything, I am just like them...a lonely soul....

yes..posting on fb is different..you will become the topic of everyone you know and do not know ...yeah..from the frequency of your posts i can tell that you love blogging and love expressing how you feel especially when loneliness sets in ...a not so good feeling right?
