Going Backward

These days, while everyone is going high tech with all the ultramodern communication systems, here I am, going back to snail mails......Gosh! I remember way back in the 80's when I used to send letters to KSA twice a week, and received twice a month only. It was something I truly looked forward to, and my best friend at that time was the MAILMAN..

But I guess, it's good to do things we take for granted now. That wonderful feeling we give to the recipients of the snail mails is priceless, for that's the only communication allowed on their end. When friends ask you to write to them, and you know that'll make them super-HAPPY, it'll make you happy too. After all, it's true that true happiness is achieved from simple things that mean a whole lot. Snail mails do make people yearn more, and appreciate more. And to make that more symbolic, it's got to be our own handwriting, not typewritten. To those of us who are enjoying the speed of internet, isn't it that we sometimes don't open our mails until after sometime? Don't you have like hundreds of mails to be read, still?

I don't know about you guys, but IT'S THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE which we take for granted that means the world to some.

Sometimes, being backward maybe the best thing to do. Come on, brighten someone's day! Personalize your letters..

I still keep in my memorabilias the box filled personalized letters, cards, empty packets of JRS express sent by my first bf from Manila and I was in Visayas during my college years. Gosh!!! I still read them whenever I got time and for me, those are the most wonderful things I ever gotten from my dealings with intimate relationship.

The feelings of anticipation and inspiration every morning I woke up was uncomparable....

On the contrary, I love writing, Bhabes..I guess, that is why, I have lots of "callos"....

And yeah, my very close friends know just how thoughtful I can be, and it's something that's inherent. I know how our friend feels out there (or shall I say, in there)...I will not deprive him of his request. What makes it more special is that, I take the time to write, and it's with a feeling of compassion and support. I give this kind of thoughtful gesture to anyone who is "sincerely" nice to me. My Bestest Friend can vouch for that.

yes

receiving letters.
If a post gets approved then I'd like to share a letter.

I always look forward to seeing the mail/postman arriving with letters.
I like personalizing not only letters but also add personal messages to cards too.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.
