When the Sun Fades

I always love to watch the sunset. There is something about it that mesmerizes me. While most people won’t even take a glance at this spectacular phenomenon, I would take time to find a bench and stare at it. So while everybody would be busy milling about, eager to go home, I would take my time to end my day with the setting sun.

I don’t know exactly why I love the sunset. But through out the day, I have never seen anything comparable to its beauty. It has a way of mixing the sky like an artist’s canvass with hues of red and blue. Even the clouds become alive, withdrawing from its pale white complexion. And you can see the coming of night time when the silhouette of the moon appears like satin amidst the bloody sky. And the stars would shyly blink slowly from the azure sky. The sun is at its majestic, resting on the horizon, shrouded with a red cloak in this almost fatalistic experience, when it is setting.

The sunset has an air of sadness and melancholy. It is never cheerful or bright. It has never brought me a smile and a hint of joy. That must be why I love it so much. It has been a good companion to me in my lonely journey, my pathetic life. While everybody is busy with work, family and friends, the sunset has always been there everyday. It never talks back or judges me. It is just there…for me.

I look forward to sharing the sunset with you. You would be sitting beside me, clasping my hand. You will also be staring at the setting sun, breath taken by its beauty. And I will be staring at you. For through out the day I have never seen anything more beautiful. And through the remainder of my life, I would never see anything more lovely than you watching the sunset. No words need escape us. Just you, me and the sunset. And I will love you so much. For you are just there…for me…

I always love to watch the sunset. And it will always remind me of you. So while everybody would be busy milling about, I would take my time to end my day with you and the setting sun.

Happy 5th Monthsary!

Hon,mwahhh

beautiful. what else hmmm,,,>
before i hate to see the sunset,it bring back all those sad memories.
i dont even took a sigh on its beauty while kissing on the sea.For tears, it gaves the reason to come out.But now,you fade away all those fears. I can see now the beauty of sunset with a smile on my face. And hoping that someday together with you; we can watch the sunset saying goodbye and promising the brighter day will come,,,
i love you

I just love looking at nature in general including the changing patterns in the sky which I always wanted to add to the small collection of paintings. Noticing how the moving clouds and the sky can be so beautiful as well as menacing depending on the weather. One time, I pointed to bf a shape of a window with a beam of light shining through. So heavenly. Then later on the day, "the window of opportunity faded".

The idea is painting white wash first then layering the varying blends of colours and then sometimes using pastels to highlight the darker areas and coal for shadows. It's like experimenting what looks at least pleasing.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

THERE IS ALSO SOMETHING VERY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING ABOUT A SUNSET.WHERE ONE CAN PUT THE DAYS HAPPENINGS AWAY FOR A WHILE,AND WATCH WITH AMAZEMENT AND AWE AT THE BEAUTIFUL SIGHT.JUST LIKE PEOPLE OR EVEN DAILY EVENTS,NO 2 SUNSETS ARE THE SAME.A SUNSET IS LIKE A 10 MINUTE VACATION FOR OUR SOULS AND MINDS,,,WHERE WE CAN LAY DOWN OUR BURDENS FOR A SHORT WHILE AND COME AWAY WITH A DIFFERENT FRAME OF MIND WHEN WE HAVE TO JUMP BACK INTO THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF EVERYDAY LIFE..THESE LITTLE SLICES OF PARADISE ARE ALL AROUND US.WE JUST HAVE TO FIND THEM..LAYING ON THE GRASS.WATCHING THE SHAPES THE CLOUDS ARE MAKING..LISTENING TO THE SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN.. GOD HAS PROVIDED US WITH WAYS TO TUNE IT ALL OUT.AND FREE OUR MINDS FOR REFLECTION OR JUST A LITTLE PEACE OF MIND...TAKE CARE MR.DEADS...RATZZZZZZZ

hmmm..sounds interesting...u can write a poem about it... the "window of opportunity faded". It sounds like a good metaphor already
